The purpose of the association is work towards better understanding of, and increased interest in, East Asian popular culture. This is done in a number a ways, including film screenings, meetings, conventions, game competitions and theme nights.

Most central among all the events of the association is, of course, Scandinavia's largest youth event for Asian popular culture, UppCon. Ten UppCon has previously been held and a 11th is currently being planned.
